A native to Puyallup Washington Butler was interested in the arts when she was growing as a child. She was a singer in choirs, entered contests for singing and also performed in high school and community theatre. She then moved into Los Angeles and studied theatre at the University of Southern California. For a year and an half, she portrayed Belle the Princess in Beauty and the Beast. After she quit school in the spring of 2008, she started looking for a talent agency, and casting for roles on television and film. Butler guest starred on The TV program CSI: Miami. Butler started shooting The Stranger Within with Estella and William Baldwin, the psychological thriller set in Mallorca on November 11, 2011. The film will also be filming in Copenhagen Denmark as well as New York City. In June 2012, she was joined by Michael Biehn in the Los Angeles filming of Treachery. Butler was co-starring with Michael Welch in 2013's horror film The Demented.
